Therapy and rest is essential

I’m def not one who looks forward to rest days (most of the time). However, since doing two programs (strongwoman and powerlifting) I actually appreciate my 2 rest days now. Before my coach was hard pressed to get me to do one day of rest. However I must let my muscles and my nervous system rest from heavy lifting.

Therapy is another essential and one I mostly enjoy and look forward to. Whether it’s my physio Hudson (featured), myotherapist Flavio or relaxing and rejuvenating at City Cave Northlakes I love them all. the body is our temple and it will perform at its best if we look after it. Now the average person will not need the amount of therapy I need but still listen to your body and know the signs of when it is time to either rest or repair. Lift heavy, aim high, but also know when to rest 😉👌
